In the second period Goreski's took the lead when Todd Healey found the net with help from Jason Warner and Paul Goreski, but responding late in the third was Pineridge when Rick Goris came through after taking passes from Ken Smart and Dave Burnett before Larry Pilkey gave Goreski's the win after being set up by Jason Warner and Doug Bronson. Taylor/Ford Mercury 6 Compton Communications 3 In this high scoring match-up Taylor/Ford Mercury was able to defeat Compton Communications 6-3 and it was Brian Stevenson leading the way with two goals including the open-* er from Gary Lance and Brett Laycoe. Following this goal Taylor/Ford extended their lead to 2- 0 when Brian Samis net- ted a goal with the help of Bill Bridge and Clarence Stephenson. Compton cut. the Taylor/Ford lead in half when Mathew Hobbs con- verted after taking a pass from Scott Wilbur, but after this _goal, Taylor/Ford scored three more times to take a 5-1 lead and it was Brian Stevenson with his sec- ond of the contest from Mark Decosta, Gary Lance assisted by Steve Groves and Mark Decosta, and Clarence Stephenson with the help of Brian Samis and Bill Bridge collecting points in this offensive outburst. Compton managed to get on the board two more times as Jeff Kroonenburg scored after taking a pass from Mathew Hobbs, and Todd * Wilbur slid one through the pads of the Taylor/Ford netminder after being set up by Mathew Hobbs and Jeff Kroonenburg. Taylor/Ford was able to put the contest out of reach when Bill Bridge .closed out the scoring from Gary Lance. Joe's Pizzeria 6 Harrison Fuels 4 Another offensive showdown between Joe's Pizzeria and Harrison Fuels was won by Joe's 6-3 and it was Dave Dickson leading the way for Joe's with a hat trick as well as one assist. It The season is finally over for Andrew Hill grabs scoring trophy (Campkins), Geer place. There were many goals Peewee house league teams call it a season Kyle offs. Times are: Saturday, March the Peewee house league. Great efforts by all six teams made it an exciting year. I would like to congratulate the six goalies who managed to survive the season. Robert Larmer (Emmersons), Tyler Wells (Lions), Brady Gray (Shoppers), Sam Bennett (Joes) and Wellen Jackson (Browmans). The season started off with Campkins in first place, Browmans in second, Joe's Pizza in third, Shoppers Drug Mart in fourth, Lions Club in fifth and Emmersons Insurance in sixth scored throughout the games. The two league leaders were Andrew Hill with 90 points and Storer with 82 points. I'm sure everyone had a great year and I'm sure playoffs will be every bit as exciting. Ontario 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. was John Mackey opening the scoring for Joe's as he converted after taking a nice pass from Dave Jackson. Dave Dickson was next to score for Joe's and he connected after being set up by Brad Hollingsworth and Jeremy Norton. Harrison answered back in a big way as they scored three goals to take a 3-2 lead into the second period. Getting Harrison back into this one was John Ennis from Richie LeFort and Rick Olaisen, Richie LeFort assisted by John Ennis and Rick Olaisen, and Mike McGuinness after being set up by Lee Steeves and Jamie Menzies. Joe's responded with three goals of their own and providing their offense was John Mackey from Colin Wackett, Dave Dickson with his second of the contest from Colin Wackett and John Mackey and Dave Dickson completing the hat trick with the help of John Mackey and Chris Brain. The two teams exchanged goals late in the third period as Steve Dunn put Harrison's fourth goal of the game on the board assisted by Jamie Menzies, while Rick Hope closed out the scoring for Joe's as he put the game out of reach for Harrison after taking nice passes from Dave Dickson and Colin Wackett. Monsma Electric 4 Cedar Creek Contracting 2 The final game of the day went to Monsma Electric as they picked up a big two points in the SHL playoff standings with a win over Cedar Creek Contracting. Cedar Creek got on the board first when John Harman came through with a nice goal as he cut in and put a snapshot upstairs. The assist on this goal went to Bob Collins. Cedar Creek went up 2-0 with a goal courtesy of Nathan Brown as he found the back of the net after receiving passes from Karl Durham and Mike Gilmour. Following this goal, it would be all Monsma as they scored four unan- swered goals for the 4-2 victory. Finding the net in the Monsma win was Jim Duncan from Jeff Card and goaltender Don Card. Jeff Card assisted by Dave Roth, Brad Meekin with the help of Rick Campbell and Mike Clarke closing out the scoring with an unassist- ed goal.
