St. John's News By Colin Beal Holy Week was a very busy time as St. John's and espe- cially so for Father Hugh who presided over services on Tuesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday and, of course, Easter Sunday. On Good Friday, there were in fact, three services - The Stations of the Cross, a Communion Service and the Good Friday Liturgy. The Blackstock Nusery will host "Two For The Show" this Saturday Stations of the Cross was announced as a children's ser- vice, however in addition to a lot of children, there was an even larger number of adults. Nearly all stayed for the two later services, where they were Joined by others who came for Communion or the Good Friday Liturgy or both. On Easter Sunday, the chil- dren of the Church School pre- sented the church with a floral arch which they had built in their classes during Lent. This will decorate the church throughout the Season of Easter. The choir, under the direc- tion of Catherine Corden, sang anthems at all the services as well as singing the various liturgies and leading the con- gregation in hymns and psalms.
