Next Sunday, May 2 the U.C.W. will conduct the church service at 10 a.m. The theme is "Jubilee A." The Seagrave and Pinedale Church combined choirs and presented their annual Spring Melodies on Sunday evening at Seagrave Church under the direction of Muriel Jebson and Doug Wylie. Besides the 10 numbers there were also the violin, flute vocal and piano solos and duets besides the Pinedale Puppeteers presentation of "Be a Good Neighbour." We are fortunate to have so much musical talent in our community. A big thank you to all of them for an evening of enjoyment. A social time followed in the lower hall. The U.C.W. will meet on May 5 at 1:20 p.m. at the home of Muriel Jebson. The Men's Group will meet this Saturday, May 8 at 8:30 at the Seagrave Church. Mr. Alex Shepherd, MP will attend and give an informal talk about his role in parliament. All men are wel- come. The Lake Scugog United Church: Camp is looking for helpers. As the store employee attempt- ed to serve this party the suspect produced an orange handled utility knife demanding that the employee cnen the store register. The clerk com- plied, at which time the suspect walked behind the counter helping himself to the till. He fled the premis- es after grabbing a quantity of cash. The suspect is described as male white, mately 5'9", 140 pounds with short brown hair. He wore a nylon stock- ing over his head as well as a blue sweater and jeans and a black Chicago baseball cap.
