Katrina Wotten, Sarah DeJong, Jessica Billings, and Jamie-Lee Martin grabbed gold medals to lead the junior girls team to a first-overall finish at the Durham Elementary Athletic Association Championships, which were held April 20 in Oshawa. Also recognized for their efforts were Rachel Beechey, Laura Tout, and Kayla Patry, who all earned silver medals. Bronze medals were won by Kansas Price, Rebekah Pember and Carly Petry. Patrick Wotten and Johnnie Ellis won gold at the junior boys level and silver was awarded to Colton James, Ben Coles, Kale Wardlaw, and Brian Jensen. Picking up a fourth place finish in the junior categoy were Jacob Durward, Nathan Pember, Logan Malcolm, Ben Gregory, Matt Morrison, James Nieminen, Jack Horner, and Bodan Grodesky.
