A proposal put forth this summer addresses the needs of current res- idents of the 75-bed facility, and makes plans to accommodate more local seniors in the future, said administra- tor Kim Mitchell. She said that the pri- 'mary recommendation put forth by a steering committee comprised of staff and community members was that beds be made available to seniors in their own community. The current place- ment system has would- be residents indicating the area in which they'd like to be placed, and waiting lists are created for . homes.
