"Our shelves are bare; we need everything we can get," said Ann Wanninkhof, a volunteer with the food bank. "What can 1 say... we need the help badly." Operation Scugog 1s holding a Thanksgiving food drive at the end of this week. The summer months have kept volunteers at the food bank busy, said Mrs. Wanninkhof, esti- mating that anywhere between 80 and 100 fam- ilies were assisted each month. For women who start their pregnancy at a healthy weight. the recommended range is 25 10 35 Ibs. In the first trimester 2 to 8 Ibs is the weight gain usually seen. In the second and third trimester a gradual steady weight gain is ideal This means a gain of approximately 0.75 Ib. per week.
