Cedar Creek went to work early and often in the Roofers end. Scoring a hat trick as well as one assist was Mike Clarke, and he opened the scoring as well, assisted by John Harman and Rich Bricknell. The Roofers were able to tie the game when John Butler served up a goal for his team with help from Bill Foote and Warren Geer before Cedar * Creek once again took the lead when Mike Clarke netted his second of the game. Assisting on this goal was John Harman and Rob Scott. The Roofers would tie the game at two after Scott Wilbur provided offense after taking passes from Paul Goreski and Warren Geer hut after this goal it would be all Cedar Creek as they lit up the Roofers for five unanswered goals. Completing his hat trick in nice fashion was Mike Clarke, unassisted, followed by Rob Scott from Mike Ayres, John Harman assisted by Mike Clarke and Darryl Workman, Bob Collins with help from goaltender Wayne Lown and Bob Collins with his second of the game to close out the scoring after tak- ing nice feeds from John Harman and Rob Toguri to seal the 7-2 Cedar Creek victory. Van & Truck World 6 Taylor Fuels 3 In another offensively played match, Van & Truck World came out on the better end of a 6-3 decision. The key to Van & Truck World's success this season has been the high-powered offensive threat of scoring leader Dave Dickson, Brad Menzies, and Rick Sheehey and their fine play continued on Sunday as Brad Menzies opened the scoring with his first of three on the day from Dave Dickson. Menzies extended the Van & Truck World lead to 2-0 after Rick Sheehey and Dave Dickson fed him nicely and he was able to finish by finding the net. Taylor Fuels did man- age to get on the board in the second frame when Rob Kroonenburg convert- ed after taking a nice pass from Dave Mann, but Van & Truck World went right back to work as Rick Sheehey found the cage after sweet passes from Brad Menzies and Dave Dickson allowed him to connect. Nathan Brown was next to supply Van & Truck World offense assisted by Dave Dickson and Jay Adam. His effort was followed by a sweet goal from the stick of Brad Menzies as he forced the Taylor Fuels netminder to buy his backhand offer and then he went upstairs with a wrist shot. Picking up assists on this highlight reel materi- al was Dave Dickson and Scott Heard. Taylor Fuels made it close in the third when Brian Till found the score- sheet assisted by Bruce Smith and Mike McGuiness and Mike McGuiness unassisted. However, Rick Sheehey's second goal of the game put this game out of reach as Brad Menzies' fifth point of the game closed the door in this one. SLAPSHOTS: Georgina is just five points back of the ModJacks after defeating Uxbridge 3-2 Friday night. Coach Steve Sedore said the game against the MoJacks marked the first time he was able to dress a full line-up of regulars as the injury bug took a big bite out his team in the first two months of the season. The ModJacks have a testy week ahead of them starting tonight when they travel to Lakefield to take on the un-defeated Chiefs who have 15 wins to date. Coach Thornbury said he and the players are really looking for- ward to the Lakefield game as everyone is chomping at the bit for a chance to hand the Chiefs their first loss. And they finish off the week this coming Sunday night when the Little Britain Merchants pay a visit to the Scugog Arena for a 7 p.m. faceoff. This should be a dandy as these teams have built a bitter rivalry over the last few seasons.
