Collecting assists on Harman's goals were Peter Somers with one and Rick McJanet with a pair. In the second frame the Roofers took another three goal lead. Doing the damage to the K.C.I. defenders was the combination of Warren Geer and Doug Bronson to put the Roofers ahead 5-2. A late charge from K.C.I. result- ed in three goals and it was a pair of Dean Smith markers and a Jarett Harman hat trick completion that put them back in the game. Harman seemed to be effective in the offensive end each week keeping his team in many games. But even with Harman attacking on offense the Roofers defend- ers were able to shut him down and pick up a big win when Scott Wilbur netted his second of the game after being nicely set up by Warren Geer and Peter Somers. Harrison Fuels 3 Cedar Creek Contracting 2 This defensive battle was won 3-2 by Harrison Fuels and on the losing side, it was Cedar Creek Contracting. Harrison Fuels opened the game up strong with a pair of goals coming off the stick of Steve Dunn and Brad Coppin. Cedar Creek did press hard in the second period and came away with a pair of goals to tie the game at two. Finding the net for the Contractors was Mike Ayres from Rob Toguri and Bob Collins as well as Rob Scott from John Harman and Jody Peters. The decisive goal came in the final period and it was courtesy of Richie LeFort. His offense was supplied after taking nice passes from Bob Tarbotton and Darcy Milligan with only 36 seconds remain- ing on the clock "to give Harrison Fuels a big win. Taylor/Ford Mercury 4 Taylor Fuels 1 This game was all Taylor/Ford Mercury as they cruised to a 4-1 win over Taylor Fuels due to a domi- nant offensive and defensive effort. Taylor/Ford opened the game strong with two endings from Jamie Menzies. Assisting on Menzies' tallies included Mike Gilmour, Bill Bridge, and Ivan Geer. In the second frame it was Jason Warner's turn to get in on the scoring and he was assisted by Bill Wesiflock and Ivan Geer. After playing the role of setup man in the open- ing stages of this game, Ivan Geer found the net himself after receiving passes from Terry Flieler and Bill Bridge. Late in the third period, Taylor Fuels was able to find the scoreboard when Brad Hurst came through with a goal after converting passes pom Brian Samis and Brian However, this would be all for the scoring and Taylor/Ford Mercury was able to hang on for the big two points, which will prove to be key in the SHL playoff race. Monsma Electric 4 Van & Truck World 3 In a very tightly played affair, Monsma Electric came out on the better end of a 4-3 decision with Van & Truck World. Monsma opened the scoring in the first period when Steve Groves found the cage from Trevor Till. Van & Truck World responded in a big way with three goals. In on the offense was Mike Geer assisted by Scott Heard, Dave Dickson from Mike Geer and Brian Stevenson after being set up by Mike Geer and Brad Menzies. This would be all the offense for Van & Truck World as Monsma Electric shut them down from there and went on to score three goals of their own to take the win. : Scoring for the winning Monsma team was Jack Monsma assisted by John Mackey and Duane Bronson, Duane Bronson from John Mackey and Rick Olaisen and Trevor Till unassisted with the game winner. This goal from Monsma proved to be huge as it came with less than one minute remaining on the clock and it gives Monsma two key points in the tight SHL standings. B. Callery & Associates 3 Pineridge Sports 0 Goaltending was what led to the B. Callery & Associates 3-0 win over Pineridge Sports and the defensive end was where B. Callery was most dominant in this game. Paul Stanley opened the scoring from in front of the net picking up a loose rebound. Assists on this goal went to Rick Hope and Steve Connors. Rick Campbell was next to find the back of the cage from Mike McQuade and Steve Connors, followed by a late insurance goal courtesy of Brian Williamson as he was nicely set up by Paul Stanley. B. Callery shut the door from there defensively and went on to collect the victory. Compton Communications 5 Square Boy Pizza 1 This game was all Compton Communications as they delivered yet another loss to Square Boy Pizza. The Pizza Boys have had opponents top- ping them all season and their offensive and defensive strug- gles continued on Sunday. Compton opened this game with four consecutive goals including a hat trick of the natural persuasion courtesy of Duane Empringham. His three goals along with one helper were key in the Compton victory. Picking up helpers on Empringham's markers were Mike Driscoll and Noah Dorland. The only offense that the Pizza boys could deliver was a goal from Dave Burnett.
