The Robinglade Ladies Group had a great night for their Christmas dinner last Thursday. Sharon Scott won the 50/50 draw. Debbie Slute and Sandie Jonah won the "Husband Bingo" game. A very spe- cial thanks to Wayne Wanamaker for donating calendars for everyone and a great prize for the bingo game. Congratulations to Katherine Cooke, who along with her teammates on the Port Perry Belle ringette team won a gold medal at the Port Perry ringette tournament this past weekend. Port Perry won the championship after a well played game by both teams, Port Perry and Newmarket. The Seagrave U.C.W. pot luck dinner and pro- gram was enjoyed by all that attended including the men. The committee, Jessie Nobbs, Eleanor Nicholls, Lillian Ross and Karel Nottingham pre- sented the Christmas devotion and conducted some games after the din- ner. A very joyous time was had by all who attended the Christmas Pageant that the churches and Sunday Schools put on at Goodwood Church on Sunday evening. Choir, recorder music, etc. and the children's pageant all added to the festive sea- son. For some time now there has been a strange bird visiting the feeders at some of the Epsom vil- lage homes. It apparently has a long yellow tail and resembles a cockatoo. Perhaps some of you bird lovers out there could put a better name to it. Doris Armstrong has had it visit quite a lot.
