The six-month trial contract expired on Dec. 15. So far, York Regional Police have not extended their contract at this time. The extension of the Air-1 contract was applauded by 26 Division Inspector Chuck Mercier. "The trial process over the past six months has proven to be a very important tool in polic- program. "It's a great idea... it will improve the police service through its use without adding addition- al officers," said the mayor. "I am quite prepared to support the project, with the fact that it will save on other costs. It has the potential to save increased costs in other areas, and I regard that as an investment." v 3a J "The Carollers" "As Time Goes By" "n, FRAMERS GALLE A -------- I ------ RN 57 y a $149 Frame ot $399 Framed 237 Queen St., Port Perry 985-2543
