KNIT FURS & SCULPTURES For more than 20 years now Paula Lishman has created and sold fine-quality knit-fur products and over that time has garnered quite a reputation throughout the world. From her basement beginnings in Blackstock, Paula has watched her company expand globally, from Canada and the United States to runways in Japan. "We ship all over the world, but our biggest markets right now are in the US and Europe,' says Tina Bradt, manager of the Lishman's flagship store right here in Port Perry. A wide selection of the products are available in the store, and all are presently knitted in Scugog Township. "We think of our store here as a gallery to showcase our mens' and womens' coats, hats, shawls, slippers, blankets... we've pretty much got everything here." As well, a recent addition to the popular store is yarn for fur-trimming, crocheting and weaving, says Ms Bradt, estimating that there are almost 300 colours available.
