CRS BRR Is as MOI el ET nie "Scugog"s Community Newspaper of Choice" PORT PERRY STAR - Tuesday, February 8, 2000 - 11 Want a hassle-free workout? [sland couple say they'll bring the equipment to you A Scugog Island couple have come up with a way to take the has- sle out of working out. John and Crystal Dantas, owners of the recently-opened Dantas Health and Fitness Professionals, plan to take their services on the road, offering their equipment and advice to their customers in the comfort of their own home or office. "Many people don't like the idea of going into a gym, or they lack the motivation to take the drive to the gym after or before work. This way, with our business, we bring every- thing to your home. There is no need to drive anywhere and you feel comfortable," said Mr. Dantas, who has more than 13 years experi- ence as a health and fitness profes- sional. Attending a gym is very hard for women with low ' self-esteem, added Mrs. Dantas. "I think there is a real need for this with women. Many are intimi- dated going into a big, loud, sexy gym," she said. "We pack up our own vehicles with everything from top-of-the-line portable exercise equipment to electronic fat-testers to boxing gloves and skipping ropes and come to you," she said, noting that Dantas Health and Fitness Professionals caters to customers of all ages. A certified nutritionist is avail- able to help clients with dietary plans, and a monthly report is pre- sented to track the customer's progress.
