Tyson was playing in his last sched- uled game for the season with the Atom Kings who play out of Sunderland and Cannington. The team went on to win the game against Ops. Be sure to lock up your vehicles in your driveway. Four individuals were seen Saturday night hovering around various vehicles. Two of the individuals were scared off as they attempt- ed to enter a garage on Pearl Drive. Police have been notified. We were greeted to the church service on Sunday by Jim and Kim Thomson. We celebrated Communion with Hugh and Roberta Baird singing the Prayer of Thanksgiving and Consecration. Greenbank Sr. Choir practice for the Spring Concert Singers Thursday, March 16 with choir at 7:30 p.m. and Concert Singers at 8:30 p.m. Singers wishing to join are welcome. Practice for the Youth Choir will be on March 15 at 5 p.m. at Greenbank Church. Greenbank Minor Ball will be holding their regis- tration for T-Ball to teen lob ball on Friday, March 31 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, April | from 9 a.m. to noon at Greenbank Hall. For more information call Barb at 985-3903 or Vivian at 985-3752. A Greenbank Church cleaning bee will be held on Monday, March 20 at 9 a.m. All helpers are wel- come. Muriel celebrated another happy birthday with all her family present at the home of Jim and Judy Gibson on Friday evening. The next euchre at Greenbank will be on Friday, March 24. Raymond and Jean Kerry have returned from an enjoyable trip to Florida. Don't forget the Pub Night this Friday, March 17 sponsored by the Lions Club to raise money for the new parking lot at the hall. Don't forget to get your tickets for the Spring Fling dance on March 25 at Greenbank Hall to raise money for the new play- ground equipment. Harry and | and Mary Drewery along with friends and relatives from Port Perry Perry and Seagrave attended a birthday party on Saturday for our son-in- law Douglas Stanfield in Whitby. Even though most of us expected a return of winterlike weather, we were indeed surprised when we awakened on Sunday morning to the depth of snow. Pleased to report that Mrs. Kathleen Watts is improving in Oshawa hospital where she is recov- ering from serious heart problems. Glad that Jim Coates is recover- ing from surgery last week in Toronto General Hospital. Sympathy of the community as well as the folks at St. John's Anglican Church is extended to Hugh and Peggy Kernohan, their family and grandchildren on the passing of Hugh's mother Mrs. Was the recent snow winter's last kick at the can? Agnes Cooper Kernohan. She passed away after a brief illness in the Sutton Nursing Home in her 93rd year. Many from here visited on Sunday and attended the funeral in Sutton on Monday. At St. John's on Sunday, Andrew Barlow led in could be no Eucharist without a priest. There were 14 tables at the week- ly euchre on Tuesday evening with the following winners: Marjorie Davies, Elwood Manns, Elaine Bailey, Jean Johnson, Wm. Dunn and Charlie Stapleton. Charlie Campbell won the most lone hands. Lucky draws were won by Gary Notenboom, Elaine Bailey, Harold Crawford, Roy Werry, Muriel Butson and Mary Henderson.
