"Over 400 invitations have been sent out and people are already responding," said Cartwright High School secretary Debbie Bauer, who's among those help- ing to coordinate the effort. "People are very excited and things are really taking off." Since October of 1999 a committee has been plan- ning for the reunion, being held the weekend of June 10 and 11. Every month the committee meets to hear reports from subcom- mittee heads on how preparations are going in their department, said Mrs. Bauer. But realisti- cally I would say anywhere from 200 to 400 people will be in attendance," she said. The itinerary currently is as follows: a On Friday night , June 10, the Cartwright High School Concert Bands will put on a spring concert at the Blackstock United Church. Q Saturday morning at 11, a "welcome back bar- becue" will be held out- side at Cartwright High School. The building will be open, and displays with pictures from each decade will decorate the school. Later that night at 5 pm, a dinner will be held at the Blackstock Rec Centre. The black tie affair will include speech- es from former principals and valedictorians from each decade. Q Sunday morning a pri- vate church service will be held at the Rec Centre at Il am. Former teacher, now a minister Susan Sheen will conduct the service.
