Elsie (nee Miller) was the beloved wife of Arthur Pol- lard (1994) for more than 60 years and was a much-loved mother to daughter Joyce Darnley and her husband Magil; sons Donald Pollard (1999) and his wife Joan; Bill Pollard and his wife Dorothy. Elsie was the loving and proud grand- mother to Debbie and Rick De Jong; Denise and Brian Hoskin; Darlene and Brian Hadden; Magil and Janice Damley; Fiona and Neil O'Brien; Kathy and Larry Jeffrey; Karen and Andrew Playter; Kent and Rebecca Pollard; and Stephen Pollard and their families giving Elsie the joy of 17 great-grandchil- dren. She was prede- ceased by her loving sis- ters and their husbands "Florence and Frank Palmer; Marion and Fred Palmer; Nellie and George Stone; Emily and Arthur Roome (England) and sister-in-law to Dick and Win Pollard; Lilian and Norm McDonald; Jen- nie Pollard; Nell Monkman; Edith and Jim Barks; and Carrie and Gus Merry. As well Elsie was an aunt to many spe- cial nieces and nephews. Elsie came to Canada at age ten from Nottingham, England and lived in Toronto. After raising her family, she resumed her music studies and obtained her ALCM Music Degree becoming a won- derful piano teacher and sharing her love and appreciation for music with her many students including several grand- children.
