In the final two innings two hard fly balls from Greenbank were caught by Turners Alan Brauer and James Nieminen to slow down the base running. Hunter Bros. got their bats going by the third inning and didn't look back, with batting from Katelyn Lee who went 5 -5 at bat. Kristen Crosier threw an out and caught a fly ball. Robert Muhic did the same and Brad Layzell was responsible for three quick outs. Both teams played together and showed great sportsmanship. PEEWEE Shaw Industrial vs Fire, Brass & Patio House (13-12) - Joel Michel blasted two home runs as Shaw overcame a six run deficit to improve to three wins and one loss. Corey Hellinginam had a triple and sin- gle, Brent Wagg a lay double, with other hits going to Jamie Lee Martin, Jake Jones, Steven Larmer, Brian Jensen and Michael Hazelden. Shaw Industrial vs Cineplex Odean (8-5) Shaw Industrial improved to four wins -and a loss with an 8-5 victory over Cineplex Odeon, Bowmanville. Brian Jensen pitched three scoreless innings. Greg Banks and Donald Shaw provided two RBI's each. Phillip Rudkin added to his amazing on base percentage with three walks. MOSQUITO Firm's Transportation vs Tim's Fifth Wheel(15-7) Firm Transportation erupted for eight runs in the fourth to seal their second win of the season. Firm's hitting was keyed by Eric Draper and Brodie Stanfield with two singles each. Cory Vandewiel scored 3 runs, while Mercedes Weber added a pair. Nathan Alpe tripled and Logan Malcolm singled and com- bined with Thomas Prendergast for a gib double play. M&M Meats vs Firm Transportation (6-23) Thomas Prendergast hit a double and two singles as Firm Transportation defeated M&M Meats in Bowmanville and Nathan Alpe had two doubles. Luke Michel a home run and Logan Malcolm scored four runs. Ryan Dillon came back after a fractured finger, scored a pair as did Katnima Wolters. Corey Vandewiel played solid behind the plate. He will showcase his tal- ents again June 23-27 at the Beatrice Ice Gardens at York University. If selected to the team, he will be part of a squad that takes teams from across the rest of Canada, the United States, and oth- ers from Europe, including Sweden, Russia, and the Czech Republic.
