Winners of the non-cir- cuit 4x4 class were John Frey with a Ford, Brian Lowery with a GMC, Brian Shaddock with a GMC, Kevin Moore with a Ford and Luke Carnaghan with his GMC. The non-circuit tractor 8000 Ib. class took a unique twist when Paul Harder brought back the same farm tractor and the trophy he had won in that class at the first pull 25 years ago. Paul put the trophy up for the winner this yearand indeed won it back again. Other winners were Paul Harder, Dave Brown, Michael Moore and * Lawrence Van Camp. Pro-Stock 5700 Ib. win- ners'were - first - Corey Barr, Newcastle; second - Blair White, Whitevale, third - Kevin Crago, Newcastle and fourth - John Vaneyk, Tyrone. In the 6700 Pro-stock winners were - first - John Vancyk; second - Scott Barr; third - Kevin Crago and fourth - Blair White. Superstock 4x4s were won by Brian Goble, Lindsay; second - Ron Whitelaw, Fergus; third - Wayne Clifford, Peterborough and fourth - Michael Woodward. Vintage Tractor winners were Allan Strang, Cobourg, Gilbert Dodd, Welland, Skip Lamont, Kitchener, Mike Bisbee, Rockwood and Ken Harrison, Omemee. Circuit 4x4 winners were Bob Bonus, Rockwood, Susan Simpson, Grand Valley, Wayne McEnery, Rockwood, Craig Stephens, Milton and Dale Chabanach, Acton. Non-circuit 11,000 trac- tors were won by Danny Moore, Michael Harder, Dave Brown, Michael * Moore and Brian Gray. Pro-Stock 10,000 Ib. with the tractors spouting out smoke and fire winners were Blacktock's own Earle Trewin with his Killer Allis, Earl Osborne of Rockwood, Bob Ney of Orillia, Rob McFarlane of Guelph and Grant Middlebrook of Blackstock truck, tractor pu Good crowds were on hand last weekend for the annual Blackstock Truck and Tractor Pull. The event was spread over two nights, with action on both Friday and Saturday evenings. Circuit 10,500 tractor class winners were Charles Rivett, Cookstown, Paul Harder, Sunderland, Rob Bauman, Breslau, Miles Martin, Bobcaygeon and Rick Lamont, Kitchener. The Pro-Stock 11,000 Ib. class winners were Earle Trewin, Earl Osborne, Rob McFarlane, Bob Ney and Photos by Rik Davie Grant Middlebrook. Most of the classes were large and very competitive creating exciting entertain- ment for the fine numbers of spectators who attended. Sunderland man charged after cop assaulted A Sunderland man has been charged after he assaulted a police officer at the Port Perry hospital last weekend while receiv- ing treatment. Durham Police were called to the hospital around 10 p.m. on July 8 after they received a report that a man was being transported to hos- pital. Upon arriving, the offi- cer observed the accused causing a disturbance in - the emergency room area. He was restrained by hos- pital officials, and: contin- ued to yell obscenities. At one point, he freed himself and a struggle with the officer ensued. The man attempted to bite the cop and tore his uniform during the struggle. He was quickly restrained by the officer, and later treated for the injuries he was brought in for. A 35-year-old faces one count of assault an officer and one count of cause a disturbance.
