The open, with a total purse close to $30,000 is a two-day tournament. The anglers compete in teams of two and fish for a maxi- mum of five bass per day. The anglers with the high- est two-day weight (maxi- mum 10 fish) will win the tournament. First prize is over $7,000. According to The Chevy/Mercury Tour pro- moter, Michelle Kilburn, Scugog and Sturgeon Lakes have historically produced large bass. Residents and visitors will have a chance to meet the anglers at the weigh-in shows in Rivera Park on Saturday and Sunday, July 15 and 16, beginning at 3:30 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. All of the fish caught during the tournament will be returned to the water via the Shimano Live Release Boat.
