Police report that a 26-year-old Port Perry woman was attacked repeatedly by her intoxicated 35-year-old boyfriend around 11 p.m. on July 14. 'Police say the suspect forced his way into the couple's apartment by kicking in the door. Once inside, he repeatedly hit the woman in the head and body, and, while attempting to knock her 'hat off, ripped out an earring, police said. She once again escaped, and fled to a local coffee shop, where she was confront- ed by the suspect and physically and ver- bally assaulted. The victim fled from the shop and drove to the Oshawa area, where she found safety at a friend's home. The following day, she attended the Oshawa police station and filed a com- plaint.
