The Bob's Towing ThunderCar feature, race featured a thrilling see-saw battle for the lead between Woodville's Jim Blundell. and Ajax resident Dave Crowther. These two combatants exchanged the lead a total of five times before the checkered flag fell, giving the feature win to Crowther, his career first. Blundell in his #17 Camaro crossed the line in second place, barely a car's length behind the winner with points leader Terry Shaw bringing home his #66 Crown Victoria in third spot. Two weeks ago Grimsby's Brandon Easey was involved in a hard, turn one crash that severely damaged his #6 blue Chevelle. After taking a week off to make repairs, the 20-year-old returned with a vengeance, going flag to flag in the Terry Cullwick Auto Challenger feature race to claim his first Mosport victory. Finishing eight car lengths back in second place was the Gro-Bark Monte Carlo of Mike Poulton, who with this result moves into the points lead of the Challenger division. Joe Bevacqua #27 edged out 'Rocking' Rick Santagato for third spot with Caesarea's Craig Faulkes and track new- comer Todd Delisle rounding out the slim Challenger class field. R.P. Oil Modified driver Larry Jackson blew an engine in pre-race practice, but through hard work and sheer determina- tion, Jackson and his Mountain Dew Crew managed to replace the powerplant in time for the Modified feature event. Taking the green flag from the back of the pack, Jackson began his charge to the front, accomplishing the feat with a turn two pass on early race leader John Teune on lap 10. With Teune's #43 and Dwight Brown #2 in tow, Jackson led the three car breakaway pack to the line, earning a well-deserved four car length victory.
