4 - PORT PERRY STAR - Tuesday, August 29, 2000 "Scugog's Community Newspaper of Choice" A Day At The ~ |Blackstock Fair The annual Blackstock Fair saw some large crowds last Saturday (Aug. 26), when the one-day event was once again held at the local recreation centre in Cartwright. While rain clouds loomed overhead, hundreds of spectators came out to enjoy themselves at the fair, which featured plenty of agricultur- al events, displays, fun and games, and lots of great food. The horse pull was one of more'popular events last Saturday morning in Blackstock, which saw some horses pull more than 3,000-pounds. A large crowd was on hand Saturday afternoon during the Heavy Horse show, which saw participants put on a great show.
