Last Thursday night there were five tables of Plowing the old-fashioned way Ashburn area news by Florence Ashton I ------ euchre. Ladies high went to Alice Grieg, men's high went to Wilma Lynda and men's second went to Marg Gall. Lone hands - women - Violet Cole, men's - Doris Evans. Door prize winner was Fran Day and share the wealth went to Gert Taber and Wilma Lynde. Next euchre is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 21 at 8 p.m. Everyone welcome. Well, it's back to the classroom for all students and teachers on Tuesday. We wish them well as they begin another school term. Trust everyone enjoyed the long holiday weekend.
