"People that are going to (the cats) and care for them." the ound a £535.54. Donald Kerr will run for Ward 2 seat A candidate has stepped forward for Ward 2 in this fall's municipal election. "Donald C. Kerr announced yesterday that he'll run for the councillors seat in the ward, which includes south Port Perry. Mr. Kerr said he has many years of experience in business and politics, which he thinks will be of benefit to the residents of the ward. He is so far the only candidate running in the ward; current Ward 2 representa- tive Ken Carruthers has announced plans to seek the regional councillors seat in the municipal election. Voters go to the polls Nov. 13. Mr. Kerr served six terms as a council- lor in the City of Etobicoke, totalling 15 years in office. He was also elected to the Board of Control in Etobicoke, and served on all municipal committees, including the planning board. A Tory supporter, Mr. Kerr is presently secretary of the Durham PC Riding Association. Mr. Kerr has been a real estate and municipal affairs consultant since his retirement as vice-president of the Canada Permanent Mortgage Corp., now known as Canada Trust.
