After weeks of prepa- ration and countless hours of practice, a total of 37 youngsters from the Blackstock elementary school took part in Vocalocity, a series of training sessions to help develop vocal talents and musical skills. A mass performance 'was held Nov. 29 at the Carruthers Creek Community Church in Ajax at which the stu- dents came together with their peers from eight other area schools to put on a memorable show. "It was an amazing show; the students did just great," said Cathy Pavlik, who along with fel- low teacher Katherine O'Connor-Hoag co-ordi- nated the program at CCPS. with the help of pro- fessional conductor Anna Lynn Murphy, Cartwright students in Grades 4,5, and 6 prepared for the concert through October and November.
