There is a free flu shot clinic Dec. 9 at Lakeridge Health in Port Perry. "We now have our first confirmed case of influenza B in the Uxbridge area," explains Dr. Donna Reynolds, Durham Region Associate Medical Officer of Health. "It's important for every- residents of Ontario, in an effort to decrease the spread of influenza during the peak season. "Community response to our free flu clinics has been steady," says Dr. Reynolds. "We're seeing about 150 to 350 people per clinic and expect to increase our num- bers throughout the next two weeks.
