Const. Martin is charged with second degree mur- der, Const. Hoskin with weapons charges based on the discharge of his pistol during a struggle with Enzo, and Const. Robins is charged with shooting with intent to wound and assault causing bodily harm. In a courtroom filled with officers from York and Durham - including Durham Chief Kevin McAlpine and Const. Robins' fellow officers from Port Perry's 26 Division - as well as a large contingent of Romagnuolo family and friends, the judge gave jurors his final words of instruction before sequester- ing them while they deliberate. Justice Campbell told the jurors their task was important, and failure to reach a unanimous decision in the case would make any subsequent jury's job a difficult one. "No jury will ever be in a better position to decide this case than you are now," he told them. "All 12 of you must agree on a verdict," Mr. Justice Campbell said. "You do not have to agree on the method used to reach that verdict." All three officers have pleaded not guilty in the case. cry fast! ups! c tie And. i oT Le it's aw ays on!
