Ontario Provincial Police report that Herbert Graham, 77, was pro- nounced dead at the scene of the accident. It occurred on Hwy. 12 near Scugog Line 2. The acci- dent occurred at approxi- mately 12:38 p.m. on Saturday (Dec. 30). Police report hat the victim was a passenger in a northbound | Ford Aerostar van that collided with a southbound Toyota car. Details on the cause of the accident were not released, but the snowy weather and slippery road conditions are believed to have been a contributing factor in the accident. : As a result of the colli- "sion, three other occu- pants were removed from the Ford van. All sus- tained serious injuries. And the driver of the Toyota, 45-year-old Xian- Wei Ha of Toronto, was rushed to Sunnybrook Hospital, where he has been listed in critical con- dition. The highway was closed in both directions for more than four hours as officers investigated the collision. No charges have been laid as of yet.
