They defeat Ennismore 5-4 in final seconds The S.L.O. Trailblazers ringette team braved the icy road conditions on Sunday, Feb. 24 to travel to Ennismore for what proved to be the most exciting game of the season. Missing two players, Aislin Stewart and Megan Moore, the team took a first period lead of 3-0. Melanie Thomson made spectac- ular saves as usual, while defence, Cody Thomson, James Rickard and Kellie Quantrill overpowered the opposing offence. The tables turned in the second period, with Ennismore retaliating, scoring their fourth goal with only 16 seconds left in the game. The score was now tied at four a piece. The Port Perry forwards worked hard to score but Stefanie Thomson, Last second goal gives Trailblazers the win Kelsea Stewart, Bailey Todd and Laurie Taylor were stoned by the Ennismore goalie. With only two ticks left on the clock, Stefanie Thomson passed from centre ice to Chad DeCosta who muscled his way through their defence and scored, making the final score 5-4. Congratulations.
