A - 50-year-old Port Perry resident com- plained to officers that his neighbour was yelling obscenities at his wife, and had threatened to kill his cats. It seems the felines had been using the neighbour's yard as a 'washroom. Officers investigating the matter cautioned a 14-year-old Port Perry youth, and recorded the incident. No charges were . laid. Police issue warning after thieves target unlocked shed Durham Regional Police officers from 26 Division are investigating the theft of tools from a garage that was left unlocked by a Port Perry homeowner. . The theft was reported to police on Sunday, April 7 around noon, and had apparently taken - place the previous night. The garage, located adjacent to a residence on Simcoe St. North near Hwy. 7A, was entered by unknown 'suspécts and several items were report- ed missing, including a Makita cordless drill in a blue carry case and a Mastercraft rotary tool. Police remind home- owners to secure work- shops and garage areas, as well as their homes. The spring weather traditional- ly brings a rise in home burglaries.
