A 46-year-old Orillia res- 'ident told police he was driving through Port Perry after leaving the Island casino when a driver in another car twice pulled in front of him and hit his brakes, forcing the victim to stop suddenly. When both vehicles stopped for a light at the 'corner of Hwy 7A 'and Simcoe St., the victim exit- ed his vehicle and walked back to the second vehicle, which had stopped behind him at the lights, to discuss the reason for the sudden stops. According to police, when the victim approached the second vehicle, a man in the dri- ver's seat swung open his door, hitting the victim in the chest, and exited the car. He then shoved the victim to the ground and drove off, police say. Police are still investi- gating the incident: Vehicle set ablaze on Scugog Island Scugog firefighters were called to a car fire on Scugeg Island last. Monday, April 9. : Firefighters responding to the fire found no one in the area of the burned-out car. The car, discovered on: Mississaugas Trail, is listed as a total write-off.
