Officers on routine patrol in the Sunderland area about 9 p.m. on Friday (July 6) spotted plants hidden in a farmer's corn field on the south side of the 7th Concession of Brock. Durham Regional Police were called to the Parkside Bar and Grill by staff after several patrons were injured trying to stop a fight about 1:30 a.m. According to police reports, a man attempted to start a fight with another patron of the bar on several occasions, without success. Later, the accused is alleged to have ambushed a victim in the hallway leading to washrooms.
