There will be a Sunday School workshop at Trinity Church, Peterborough, on Saturday, Sept. 22 from 9 am. to 3 p.m. Clear skies and sunny weather helped make Greenbank's Annual Mixed Three Pitch Tournament an awesome success. Ball players got together for the last time of the base- ball season before the dia- mond closes. Everyone enjoyed the weekend's activities from the food and laughter to families visiting old neighbours and friends. The final game found team number one, cap- tained by Al Clarkson and team number four, cap- tained by Steve Quantrill in the final show down. Steve's team won the tour- nament and each team member was presented with a 2001 championship t-shirt. Most valuable players were Angie Williams and Ryan Williamson. Special thanks to Carl Vida, Molson's rep from Oshawa for donating MVP prizes and t-shirts to each of the team captains. Kudos to Brian Lee and Allan Clarkson for running a much anticipated and fun-filled tournament. The Greenbank Park and Hall Board would like to thank everyone who came out and supported this event. Sunday morning with Rev. Lockhart. Everyone has so much sympathy for the people of the U.S. with all the devastation and loss of life that happened on Tuesday. The choir sang "America the Beautiful" Congregation honours U.S. victims and the National U.S. anthem "God Bless America," and then all sang "O'Canada."
