The following Canskaters have earned their badges: Stage 1 - Emilie Greer, Brianne Mercer, Shelby Stevenson, Shaylin Williams, Brendan Whitney, Han Na Park, Ki Ju Park, Rebecca Coxon, Matthew Condie, Ryan Liske, Amy Trillard and Andrew Aldridge. Stage 2 - Britney Kucher, Katherine Wickens, Shelby Down, Savannah Williams, Allyson Tomcherski, Jacqueline Kronzonouski. Stage 3 - Angela Hammond, Jessica Rempel. We're proud of Janessa Dee, who successfully completed her program on Oct. 15 in Uxbridge, giving her the Junior Silver Freeskate test. A number of skaters are to be commended for their achievements at the Katy Morgan Port Perry test day on Nov. 5. Amanda Beck, Dana Anderson, Victoria Bruce and Elizabeth Smith passed their Dutch Waltz. Carly Snoddon and Renee Warren got their Baby Blues, while Caitlin Bagg and Shelby Evans passed the Swing. Justine Stevenson got her Fiesta Tango and Caroline Pullan and Vicki Cleveland passed their Willow Waltz. Congratulations to all these skaters on a job well done. The Port Perry Skating Club is hosting two dances this month. The first, a fundraiser for our synchro- nized teams, will be this Friday, Nov. 16. The club as a whole will benefit from the second dance to be held on Friday, Nov. 30. These supervised pre- teen dances for eight to 15 year olds will both be held at the Scugog Community Centre, adjoining the arena, from 7 to 10 p.m. Admission is $5 per person.
