Council okays parking bylaw for Island By J. Peter Hvidsten Port Perry Star. Scugog Council passed a bylaw | Monday that Mayor Doug Moffatt described as a creative solution to an issue that has been a problem for a long time. Residents living on Scugog Island in the areas of Platten Boulevard and Percy Crescent who require street parking will be allowed to do so, but only with a parking permit. Each residential household will be given two permits for their or their guest's use, but it must be displayed and made clearly visible from outside the vehicle when parked on the street, councillors decided. The bylaw provides for permit parking from the east limit of 225 Platten Blvd and a point 250 meters east and south. It also provides permit parking on the north side of Percy Cres. to the west side of Pete St. Parking is prohibited on other sec-. tions of Platten Blvd. and Percy Cres. at anytime. Wee, .
