PORT PERRY CHRISTMAS GREETINGS SECTION DECEMBER 24, 2001 THE PORT PERRY STAR | chit js, +1 me for Ce | ovat a | | A ] a 3 Good Shepherd Catholic School How snow found its way to Hawaii Hi my names Elysia and I'm going to tell you about how Hawaii got snow! It all starts in Hawaii with two girls named Ally and Lisa. Ally had brown hair and brown eyes. Lisa had green eyes and blond hair. The girls were 11 years old and went to Sandy Beach School. One day when they were walk- ing home from the beach Ally said, "Lisa its almost Christmas, what do you want?" Lisa replied, "I'm not sure yet." So they walked on. "Ally do you want to go shopping for our parents gifts?" Asked Lisa."O.K. it will be fun!" exclaimed Ally. They soon came to a shop called Waves. They then saw in the window two chimes. They ran in and bought them. "These are per- fect," they said. When they got home they wrapped the chimes in gold paper. Then they sat down and thought about what they wanted. All of a sudden they both jumped up and screamed, "Snow." They remem- bered the trip to New York and snow was so much fun. Lisa said, "Let's write our letters to santa. So they got out Christmas paper and wrote: Dear Santa: Thank you for last years gifts. We hope you liked the cookies. This year we want snow! Thank you. Ally and Lisa 2 Weeks Later » Christmas Eve "I can't wait to see if our wish comes true," they said. In the morning they all ran down stairs to look in their stockings. There were mitenes. Every kid in Hawaii had mitenes. They all von- derd why so they looked out the window. "Wow Snow," Ally and Lisa yelled. And thanks to Ally and Lisa that year everyone had snow! The end. By Elysia Cherry, Grade 5, Good Shepherd Catholic School Santa Goes to Florida It was the time of the year! December 25th. All the kids were nappy especially Santa because it was his annual year trip to Florida. On that night Santa thought it was time to get in his sleigh and start giving the presents out to all the children. In the morning Santa got up and started packing because tomorrow he was leaving. All the Elves were sad so was Mrs. Claus and the rein- deers too. The next day Santa left in his sleigh. It took him 8 hrs. to get to Florida. The first thing he did was to get a room in the hotel. When he was finished he went to the beach to sun tan then go for swim. The next day Santa went for a cruise on the way he saw sharks, whales and dolfins. A week had past and he thought it would be time to go home so he got back on his sleigh and took off. 8 hrs. later he was at home sitting on his chair telling the story about his trip. All the Elves, and Mrs. Claus and the reindeer listened to it. After the story they went back to building the toys for next year. Merry Christmas! Everyone! So they bought two tickets to go to Hawaii. Santa forgot to tell the elves that he was going away on a trip. Santa and Rudolph thought no worries, and set of for Hawaii. While they were sunbathing, the elves and Mrs. Claus were worried sick about Santa and Rudolph. They were no where to be found. They started to panic and asked every elf if they knew where Santa and Rudolph were. One of the smallest elves stood on a table and said "If we panic and argue we will never find Santa and Rudolph, we need to find them before Christmas. We will all help each other and try to find them." One of the elves would not help, so the little elf spoke to him and said "Do you want Christmas this year? Do you want to save Santa?" The elf said yes and they all set off in different directions to try to find Santa and Rudolph. They searched every house in every town and had no luck, they were no where to be found. Then one little. elf said "What about Hawaii?" Every one looked at him and said "Hawaii, why would they go there?" And they all turned away from him and went home. The little elf remem- bered something Santa gave to him if he was ever in trouble, it was a direct pager to Santa. He pressed the button and Santa answered "Heilo are you in trouble little elf?" The little elf yelled "Yes" "What is the matter" said Santa. "What is the No Santa, no Rudolph, no Christmas! matter!! Are you Crazy?" said the little elf. "Its Christmas and there is no you!!" the little elf yelled into the pager. "My gosh, is it that time of year already" said Santa. "Yes" said the little elf" so please come back immediately." "Yes" said Santa and with a wink of his eye and a touch of his nose, Santa and Rudolph were back home. Santa and Rudolph and the elves loaded up the sleigh and Santa took off into the night to deliv- er all the presents to the boys and girls. It ended up being the best Christmas ever!!
