The abundance of goods on the shelves of the food bank and the mountains of toys gathered by the good people of Scugog Township are an annual wonder to media members who take seemingly endless shots of smiling faces next to the bounty they have collected at various sites all around the township. This year in particular it is gratifying to see that even in the face of the millions and millions of dollars gathered by Canadians to help those stricken and killed by terror south of the border we have not ever forgotten those in our own communities who count on the kind thoughts and good wishes of their neighbours to get through the holidays. Students of all Scugog schools, in particular, must be centered out for congratulations this year as they have rallied like never before to gather toys and food for others. With these young people coming out of our schools to take over the reins of community work in Scugog, we must be truly blessed as parents. It also says a lot for the dedicated teachers who have helped to instill the community work ethic in these kids. For these kids, and for many other things, this township AL os is a more blessed place in which to live and a wonderful 1/4 place to gather the news and report the triumphs. rom a of Us al e orl erry lar For this, we at The Port Perry Star thank you, the community. From the staff of The Port Perry Star to you the com- munity we serve, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Be safe and be happy! LETTERS Remember When? '. » ot PAY Me < » MN.
