Betty Ann Harder of Harlaine's said that it's been a good season for maple syrup, with the sap running on and off depend- ing on the weather, so it's easy to keep up with the production. Harlaine's south of Sunderland, is one of three choices for sugar bush tours this year as part of the fifth annual festival. Stock buses will leave Sunderland Public School for round trip tours to Harlaine's, Bountiful Harvest Farm and Edwin and Dorothy Barkey's in Cannington, which is a new location this year. For only $3 for adults and $1 for children, you can visit a sugar shack and see how sap is transformed into maple syrup. Tours run both days, and there will also be all day pancake breakfasts at the Sunderland Legion and St. Mary's Anglican Church. Other festival activities 'you 'won't want to miss include two Jungle Cat World shows, an art and craft show at the school, a new pioneer exhibit at the arena, all day entertain- | the lucky winner could ment on the downtown stage, kids art show and colouring contest, Gable Bros. midway, barbecues, street vendors, clowns, a dairy farm tour to Teledale"s, an outdoor church service, and more.
