Last summer we had a vote by the residents on two new signs for the village. Later we heard the township was taking this into budget for the year 2000 for all ham- lets. So we decided to wait. Dave Dietlein report- ed signs were still in the budget after second cut back. The meeting still held contempt that we want to pay tribute to James Caesar on our sign. The meeting agreed to pay any additional cost or we'll go ahead and have signs made to township approval, erect them and the township gives us the average cost allowance they are spending for these signs installed else- where. Dave Dietlein reported on amalgamation commit- tee spending $10,000 for a consultation company. They should come up with some important facts on ~ this matter. A report was made that Regional Cable Inc. had received our request for a donation and would let us know within a month which should be received any day now. A report received from Mr. T. Taylor principal of Cartwright High along with a copy of the act pertaining to the 40 hours students must spend on community work outside of school hours was read. + 'Ruth Wardlaw reports that Sunday, April 16 at 10 a.m. will be street clean-up LIMIT 5 PA day and the hall board will give us lunch. Everybody is welcome and should be out to clean up this litter in our village. A report was made that winter fish huts tore up what grass we had. William Roy Ferguson I met Bill about a week or 10 days before his death at a barber shop in Port Perry and | was shocked at his health condition.
