Foote. The high energy acting sessions are both a learn- ing experience for the children as well as a great deal of fun. Children are taught to use their imagi- nations to create lively skits, as well as taking part in theatre games that enhance their obser- vation skills. All classes take place Tuesday evenings begin- ning Sept. 19. There is a registration evening next Tuesday, Sept. 5, which is a meet the teacher evening as well as formal registration into the class. This year the classes are divided into two groups. The first for ages seven to 11 will be taught from 7 to 8 p.m. begin- ning Sept. 19, while ages 12 tol5 begin the same night from 8 to 9 p.m. The 10 week session runs through Nov. 28, with Oct. 31 being the only night off. The artist will be present at the opening of her show of paintings and unique scratchboard drawings on Saturday, Sept. 9 from | to 4 p.m. The show continues to Sept. 28. This exhibit represents Elizabeth Poynter's interpreta- tion of country life and her memories of a happy child- hood growing up on a farm near the village of Seagrave during the 1950s and '60s. The people in the village of Seagrave and the landscape surrounding it were influen- tial in her development as an artist. Now residing in Hamilton, Elizabeth finds that working in different media keeps her fresh.
