pr I I Ty - "WEEKEND STAR" FRIDAY, OCTOBER 27, 2000 The family of Melba E. - Hall would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to rel atives, friends, and neigh- bours for their expressions of sympathy, through flow- ers, cards and donations to the Hospital Founda- tion. To the ladies of St. John's Presbyterian Church for the wonderful reception following the service, we are most appreciative. A special thanks to Dr. Gilmour and the staff at Lakeridge Health Port Perry for their patience and the loving care Melba received. We gratefully acknowledge the assistance received from Joan Houston of Durham Access Care and the invaluable help of the VON nurses and Physio- therapist who gave com- fort to Melba and support for the family. To Myles O'Riordan, staff and Rev. » Michael Bishop who offici- ated at the memorial ser- vice, our sincere thanks. The Hall family To everyone who sent flowers and donations, the Redman family would like to say thank you. To Dr. Puckrin, Dr. Russell, Dr. Cohoon and especially : the Emergency staff of Lakeridge Health Centre of Port Perry, thank you for your help and support these last few days as well as over these last few years. To Rev. Lockhart for the celebration of Cliff's life to the Odd Fellows Lodge for the service and Low and Low for their care and concern, our thanks to you. To the Head U.C.W. for their bountiful lunch thank you. Especially to all of you who took time out of your "busy lives to visit, write, and call it meant so much to us, thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. We would like to share these words written by Norm Sheppard and Diane Storie, our friends and neighbours, to com- fort us. In memory of our friend Cliff Redman We just want to tell you that the short ten years that we knew Cliff weren't really enough to us. We wish it could have been twenty or even thirty. We will always remember seeing him out there behind our house, driving the old red tractor in the blazing July sun with his tattered, wide brimmed hat, when he was trying to stay ahead of the pig weed, and rushing out with a tall glass of ice water for him, and seeing that ever-present Redman smile of his while we chat- ted about when it would rain next. He was a kind, man, always on the go, right to the very end. The world was a bet- ter place while he stood upon it. We will miss him very much, and our thoughts are with all of gayou and him. We will carry » » our memories of him The Redman family, Helen, John, Rosa, David, Kingsley, Amanda, Jason, . Michael and Tyler We wish to thank our rela- tives and friends for mak- ing our 50th Anniversary such a special occasion. Also thanks for gifts, cards & flowers. A special thank you to the Head U.C.W. Ladies for the delicious lunch. Ralph & Helen Hortop ¢ Sew Fabihe 8 PEAS .
