The Stage Band per- formed at Royal Ashburn Golf and Country Club on Wednesday, Oct. 11 for a political fundraising din- ner. The Junior Band had its first public perfor- 'mance before a very large audience of both students and adults at Cartwright Central PSS. for its annual Remembrance Day Service on Nov. 10. That same evening, the Senior Band per- formed at the C.H.S. Commencement activi- ties. All performances went very well. The Senior Band has accepted an invitation to participate in the nation- al music festival, MusicFest Canada, in Ottawa from May 16 to 20. Our fundraising activi- ties are underway already with the annual cookie/muffin dough sales. The Christmas in the Country Craft Sale will be held on n Sunday, i ~I3000NG Nov. 26 at the Blackstock Rec. Centre from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. All our tables are spoken for so once again we anticipate a great variety of crafts. A home made lunch will be available as well. There is a small admission charge. Plan to attend this annual show which over the years has proven to be very popu- lar. On Sunday, Dec. 3, the Junior Band will perform at the Blackstock United Church in its annual carol service. We will begin the pro- gram at 7 p.m. All are welcome to attend this service which traditional- ly begins the 'Christmas season. The C.H.S. Senior's Christmas Dinner will be held on Wednesday, Dec. : 20. 'We invite 'all local seniors to attend : this - noon. hour festive occa- sion featuring not only a full course Christmas din- ner, but entertainment provided by the music students of C.H.S. In the new year, we have the Sunderland Lions' Music Festival in February to begin the year. We look forward to seeing many of you at our concerts in the new future. The tradition carries on.' Mt.
