"WEEKEND STAR" FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 2001 - 13 Tickets on sale now Nunsense bound for Choral Society stage in March 8 shows Ever since our Nuns appeared on stage over four years ago in Nunsense, people have been asking for the sequel. The Scugog Choral Society is delighted that nearly all of the original cast of Nunsense are returning to the stage and are working hard and having a great time preparing for Nunsense II: The second coming. Nunsense Il: The second com- ing is written by Dan Goggin and produced on our stage by Richard Drew, artistically directed by Michele Jones, musically directed by Carol Salamone, and choreo- graphed by Wayne and Alison Henry. Mother Superior is played by Bunty Webb, Sister Hubert (Mistress of the Novices or #2) by Gretal Cameron, Sister Amnesia (Sr. Mary Paul) by Barbara Taylor- Bone, Sister Robert Anne by Bobbie Drew, and Sister Leo our novice (and new member) is Claire Notman. Stage manager Linda Sutherland also plays the stage manager role on stage. This sequel to the hit musical Nunsense takes place' approxi- mately six weeks after the first "benefit performance." The same five nuns are back on stage at Mt. Saint Helen's School for what is billed as a "Thank You Program" for their supporters. Since their first time out was such a success, they have decided that they should stick to their successful variety show for- mula. This time they are faced to work around the set dressing of "The Mikado" which is being pre- sented the following week by the Hoboken Music Society on Mt. Saint Helen's stage. The Scugog. Choral Society's production of Nunsense II will be presented March 22, 23, 24, 29, 30, NUHSOnsE i, featuring Bunty Webb, Gretal Cameron, Bobbie Drew, Barbara Taylor-Bone and Claire Notman, is opening at Town Hall 1873 on March 22.
