Maggie Longworth works with her husband Steve in their studio in Gooderham, Ontario. Maggie builds with willow, birch, cedar, striped maple and other woods to form rustic works that are both original and function- al. For over 12 years Maggie has consistently evolved her craft, and her unique and award winning designs have appeared in magazine articles and on television. She has also been com- missioned by the Disney Studios to provide furni- Maggie and Steve have worked together to design original twig furniture incorporating marquetry and woven design ele- ments creating a link with nature, and bringing a rus- + tic and delightful charm to both indoor and outdoor spaces. Their work is decora- tive and functional. Their baskets (both twig and - woven) are made from a wide range of natural . materials. Maggie also cre- ates arbors, trellises, gar- den gates, and restores wicker and chair seating. Maggie teaches a vari- ety of twig furniture cours- es and weekend work- shops throughout Ontario.
