The project is a pilot that will help to determine the best way to implement strict-discipline programming province-wide. Under the Safe Schools Act, students who are fully expelled for violent or disruptive behavior will be required to meet the established outcomes of a strict dis- cipline or equivalent program before they can return to a public school system. Durham District School Board is one of seven Boards selected province-wide following the Ministry's request for proposals.
