Blackstock Lions Club 13 Metal Supermarkets 9 Taryn-Leigh willets had a great game scoring four RBI's and assisted on a tag out at third base. Ashley McNeill also had a great game with three RBI's and some excellent defense. Dalton Roberge had a good game at catcher as well as a cou- ple of RBI's. Jacob Greco had two RBI's, Andrew Bullock had - one RBI, and Kimbetly Jarvis had one RBI. Awesome pitching by David Van Camp and Eric Draper. TYKE DIVISION Dr. Workman Hawkeyes 9 Campbell Electric 2 Another strong show- ing by the Dr. Workman Hawkeyes with a home- run by Denver Bandstra and a three-run double by Kaitlyn Foster. Great double play by jared presents Volleyball 2001 Duivesteyn who caught a bases loaded pop-fly and then tagged second base to force out the runner. It was a tough loss to, the Hawkeyes but great hitting by Jesse Dale and strong pitching by Matthew Dart and Dylan VanTienan. Dr. Workman Hawkeyes 14 Cummings Backhoe 3 Great effort by the entire Hawkeyes squad at their season opener! Offense was led by Joshua Buffey with a bases loaded homer in the third and Christopher Wotten with a first inning bases loaded triple. Good hustle and pitching by Rondal Jarvis. SQUIRT DIVISION Greenbank Quality "Time Cleaning 20 'Overridge Flames 6 Solid pitching by all of Greenbank's pitchers with Cody Steranka and James Larmer shutting down the first inning with three outs between them. Travis Till, Mason Newlove, and Brandon Watson each caught a fly ball and catchers Chase Newlove and Cody steranka each had an out at home plate. Awesome at bat was Matt Larkin hit- ting a triple and several players hitting doubles. Ben Rutledge started off the season with impres- sive base stealing. Great Teamwork! Greenbank Forsythe Family Farms 12 Greenbank Quality Time Cleaning 19 Congratulations to both teams for playing well despite poor weath- er conditions! Forsythe's Megan Johnston had a triple in the first and Calvin Laxton also batted a triple in the second. Jeff Ashenhurst had a two RBI's and everyone bat- ted well in the third bringing in six runs. Mike Celar was great at bat reaching base three times. Quality's Matt Larkin hit an awesome homerun with two RBI's. Cody Steranka, Mason Newlove, and Matt Larkin, Chase Newlove, Jamie Steranka, and TJ. Taylor making it safely to first every time. Defense was solid with Wes Howsam, Brandon Watson, and Cruse Newlove each snagging a fly ball. Travis Till made a great throw to T.). Taylor at first for. an out and Darrell Pelletier made an impressive catch for an out at third. Diving to stop a line drive was Ben Rutledge. Good Game! wortha cg = 2 ( JUNE SPECIAL 18 Holes & Cart INTERMEDIATE DIVI- SION Reids Independent 21 Turner's Greenhouse 6 For Reid's James Niemen hit a triple and a homerun and RBI's. Jeff Campkin had two home runs and had four RBI's. His play in the field was also spectacular showing great range and making key outs. Pitching duty was shared by Travis Gould and Matt Ferguson, both of whom pitched extremely well. Lacey Stinson also had a great game going 3-for3 at the plate and driving in three RBI's. Erin Lang had an all-round great game both at the plate and on the field. Her leadership on the field was a key element in this win. SENIOR DIVISION Lishman's 22 Youngfield Farms 6 Great pitching by Tyson Prescott in the first and fourth - inning. Fantastic grab to close the second inning by Sarah Willets. Strong effort by Hayley Campbell with a lead off homerun in the top of the fourth to try and turn the game around. Don Frew and Son 22 Lishman's 5 Don Frew had the bats - Brandon had six cracking with home runs by Lawrence MacDonald, Jordan, Josh Ferguson and two by jonathan Swinard. Janice and Allison Kadowaki made a nice double play in the third. Asselstine's Yamaha Country 22 Youngfield Farms 6 In Asselstine's second game this week against Youngfield Farms they continued with their hot bats by Stewart Cochrane with a single, two dou- bles, two homeruns, and Mandy Wishak with three singles and a double. Deryk Roberto chipped in with four singles and Steven Vine continued to pitch strong. Lishman"s 22 Asselstine Yamaha Country 9 In a strong win for Lishman's, their big bats came from Nikki jones with two doubles and a triple and Brandon Hoskin chipped in with two singles and a double. Brandon and £d lllingsworth also played great defensively. Ed [llingsworth also pitched two innings allowing no runs. Steven Vine pitched well for Asselstine's along with excellent bats from Jeremy Morrison with two singles.
