This was an excellent show with a spectacular display of colour on the show bench. There was a total of 99 entries with beautiful _losed Sundays, Mondays, and all holidays. Gordon Wick was the show judge. President Judi Denny took the top prize for the best iris. Tall beard- ed "Cranberry Ice" was a real show piece. Nancy Skelding won the best decorative with her verti- cal design "Blue Skies." Other members who won many prizes were Norma Ingleton, Eileen Slute and Ken Brown. Also Judi Denny took the top prizes for the four classes of peonies. The red Japanese peony was massive in size. Judi specializes in peonies and is a member of the a Peony Society. Her gar- dens were open to the public for viewing several days ago. | was sorry | was unable to take that in. This Wednesday night, June 27, the rose show will be held at Brooklin United Church with a total of 44 classes. Members showing please carefully check your show list schedule.
