ENC VERIHEEREEY Accident occurred at intersection of Regional Rd. 13 and Regional Rd. 12 Woman killed in accident north of Uxbridge A Toronto woman was killed and her passenger injured on Tuesday evening. after their car collided with a truck just north of Uxbridge. Durham Police report that 76- year-old Margaret Jane Gower of Toronto died shortly after 6 p.m. on Aug. 7 after her beige 2000 Acura collided with a truck at the intersection of Regional Rd. 13 and Regional Rd. 12. in Brock Township. Also injured in the accident was 76-year-old Sarah Faye Mcleod of Toronto, the passenger in the Acura. She was transported to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto "with non life- threatening injuries, say police. Jimmy Charles Spence, a 37- year-old Port Bolster resident who was driving a red 1995 Ford pick- up, was not injured. Both vehicles were destroyed in the accident, police say. Alcohol was not a factor in the collision, add police. The Durham Regional Police Traffic Management Unit was called to the scene, and the inter- section was closed for several hours for an investigation.
