Peter Bagshaw catered the pork and chicken barbe- cue, while the members of the Susie Sorabji Chapter IODE donated, prepared, and served the sumptuous outdoor feast under white marquees. A tour of the Buckingham's Fine Art Collection housed in a charming white clapboard farm house whose first paid taxes were recorded in 1869 was a highlight of the evening before dinner. The Buckingham's also graciously opened their own home for viewing which was built in 1969. Three of the victims at this point were successful in making good their escape on foot. The remaining two com- plainants were viciously attacked and beaten by the thugs before breaking free and notifying police from a nearby residence. The two were transported to the Ajax Pickering Hospital where they were treated for several cuts and bruises sustained during the assault. The suspects in this incident are described as black males between the ages of 15 to 18 years of age.
