The treasurer's report showed that everything is going well. The Infection Control Officer Trudi Firth-Marshal who spoke on the impor- tance of hygiene when working and/or visiting at the hospital. It was most informative. We were also pleased to have our new COO Joseline Sikorski who spoke about some of the cutbacks to women's health care which will be taking place. Marj Tripp gave her report of the membership tea which was held in September. It was very successful and 14 ladies decided to join us. Marj also said that the flower be packaged this week. It was a very good fundrais- er. : Gift Shop staff gave their report showing that everything is going well. Many knitted items were turned in. Muriel has lots of yarn on hand if you would like to do some knitting for the shop. Please let her know. The bake sale will be held on Dec. 7 at the hos- pital. Since our last meet- ing 14 boys and 11 girls have been born at the New Life Centre. The aux- iliary recently purchased an interential machine for the physio department and Tina Demmers " brought one in to demon- strate. She thanked the auxiliary for buying the | machine. Monsanto Canada is helping 60 students with a scholarship towards their agriculture, forestry, busi- ness or biotechnology' studies at Canadian edu- cational institutions. Over 230 applicants were eval- uated by an independent panel composed of Nolan Berg, client director of AdCulture Group; Peter Landoni, associate regis- trar, University of Guelph; Suzan Lennox, Ontario 4- H Association; and Brian Smith, general manager of Oxford Agro Pro.
