TERESA KASZUBA Compton 12 It's a fundraiser for the Thomas Foster Memorial Foster Memorial Friends to host "Harvest of song' concert Sunday The Thomas Foster Memorial stands high on a hill like a majestic, silent sentinel. The building, just four kilo- metres north Uxbridge, was ws between 1935 and 1936, and remains one of the most unique buildings in all of North America. The Friends of the Foster Memorial Committee and the Uxbridge Chamber Choir extend a warm invitation to the "Harvest of Song". The music becomes vibrant, energetic and hovers in the air before finally ending in the his- torical jewel that must be preserved. Concerts at the Thomas Foster Memorial will be held this Sunday (Nov. 25) with concerts at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The program, which the Uxbridge Chamber Choir has selected, will allow the audience a par- ticularly unique opportu- nity to experience and savour the music of the Midnight Mass for Christmas. The music has been edited and arranged by Sir David Willcocks and John Rutter and features Mar- Antoine Charpentier and other carols. The concert is a joint fundraising event for the Foster Memorial and the Uxbridge Chamber Choir. Seating is very limited, and it is advisable to purchase tickets before the concert.
